How is the HTTP password encrypted?

• In the past, Gude devices only supported HTTP Basic Access Authentication for password authentication. Now, cookie-based session authentication is used by default

Configuration:

• Under Ethernet Configuration, you can set the automatic logout time after inactivity and select the session authentication mode
• “Configuration” -> “http Server” -> Set “Enable password protection” to “yes”

1. Basic Compatible: Basic Access and Session Authentication are accepted
2. Session: Only Session Authentication is allowed
3. Session Extended: A CSRF token is additionally required for Session Authentication
