Full Factory Reset
If you have forgotten the HTTP password for your GUDE switchgear, you can reset the device to its factory settings to regain access and set a new password. See: FAQ EPC Factory Settings
Fab Reset via GBL-Conf Software
- Put the device into bootloader mode as described here: FAQ EPC Factory Settings.
- Find the device using the keyboard shortcut [Ctrl]+[B] (or under Search > Bootloader-Devices only)
- Select the device by clicking on it
- Reset all settings to factory defaults using the keyboard shortcut [Ctrl]+[Z] (or under Program Device > Reset to Fab Settings).
- Now all network-related settings have been reset to factory defaults, including the device’s IP address. If you have already installed services and programs that use the device’s IP address, you must first reset the device’s IP address to the value you need. Also check the other settings (e.g., subnet mask, transmission speed, etc.) and adjust them as necessary.
- Then exit bootloader mode as described here: FAQ EPC Factory Settings
- Find the device using [Ctrl]+[A] (or under Search > All Devices)
- Select the device by clicking on it and open the web interface for further settings by double-clicking.
Disable password protection without a full factory reset
If the device is in bootloader mode, you can uncheck the ‘’'use HTTP password'‘’ checkbox and save the network configuration via Program Device - Save Config. See: FAQ gblConfexe Search
