How is the HTTP password encrypted?
- In the past, Gude devices only supported HTTP Basic Access Authentication for password authentication. Now, cookie-based session authentication is used by default
Configuration:
- Under Ethernet Configuration, you can set the automatic logout time after inactivity and select the session authentication mode
- “Configuration” -> “http Server” -> Set “Enable password protection” to “yes”
- Basic Compatible: Basic Access and Session Authentication are accepted
- Session: Only Session Authentication is allowed
- Session Extended: A CSRF token is additionally required for Session Authentication
